Costa Blanca also known as the white coast is home to many
attractions. Costa Blanca has over 218km of soft sandy beaches,
golfing greens that are second to none, and 2800 hours of
sunshine per year perfect for those who enjoy sports and the
beach. Alicante is the second most mountainous province in
Spain with many valleys and signed walkways, a haven for those
who enjoy hiking and mountain climbing. Historic cities infused
with modern day life makes for ‘the’ place to lose yourself in the
shops and cafes. The Moorish agricultural past mixed with
Mediterranean character and valleys filled with vineyards, all
adds up to the perfect place to enjoy food and drink.
Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Muslims have all left
their mark after thousands of years of varied populations, so
those who enjoy history and culture will be amazed. Whether
you are into golfing, scuba diving, gastronomy, water sports,
culture, shopping, historic sites or just relaxing on a beautiful
beach, there is something for you.
The local beach is in Playa Flamenca, roughly a 15 minute walk
depending on pace, this is about 5 minutes walk away from
some beautiful blue-flag beaches. Flamenca beach has a large
commercial centre which houses several banks, bars,
restaurants, supermarkets. Both local airports, Alicante and
Murcia, are between 30 – 40 miles away.
